California Democrats stop parental notification bill

A bill in California that would have required that schools notify parents when outside speakers were allowed access to their children to talk about sexual matters has died in committee. Jackie Goldberg an open lesbian and chairwoman of the Education Committee vigorously opposed the bill. One witness in favor of the bill Randy Thompson of Campaign for California Families says, “Children belong to their parents not to the state. It’s outrageous for Democratic politicians to claim the support parents but then vote reject parental rights.” Another supporter says, “It’s not surprising to see Democrats trample parental rights as they rush to sexually indoctrinate children.”
