There's another sign that France is growing unhappy with the proposed E.U. contitution. Jean-Marie Le Pen, a right wing politician who forced a runoff contest with Jaques Chirac in france's last presidential election, is highly crirical of the E.U.s plan for runnning the affairs of its member countries. Le Pen calls vthe charter, "An instrument that destroys nations." The French public is strongly opposed to any further interference from the E.U.which frenchmen see intruding on France's sovereignty.
