In spite of the tremendous publicity due to its controversial content the Showtime premiere of “The Reagans” was a ratings dud. Less than a million households tuned in to what critics charged was a cheap hatchet job on the former first couple. The airing had so few viewers that it failed to place in the top forty programs. Though originally scheduled for broadcast on CBS, public pressure forced the network to release the two part movie through its sister cable network Showtime. The miniseries will air twice more next week afyter which it is expected to quietly sink into obscurity. - Suicide Car Bombers Kill 8 in Baghdad - Suicide bomber wounds two soldiers at Israeli Army base - Suicide bomber kills 20 at Haifa restaurant - Teen Bomber's Dad Condemns Palestinian Militants - Feds Find High Risk That Terrorists Can Unleash 'Dirty Bomb' in U.S. - Bombings at Turkish Synagogues Kill 20 - Dollar Falls on Concern Investment Will Decline After Bombings - Israel nabs suicide bombers, from Arafat's force, enroute to blow up school - 'Dirty-bomb' warheads lost - Ex-Soviet republic stored missing rockets - FBI picks 'terrorist' to probe bombing - Palestinian investigating attack on U.S. diplomats is suspected perpetrator - 'Saddam's bombmaker' hit in assassination attempt - Ticking art sparks bomb scare - Homicide Bomber-Mom Kills Four at Gaza Border
