Liberal court reinstates lawsuit against gun maker

The nation's most left leaning court has re-instated a lawsuit brought against a firearms manufacturer that claims the company is liable for the criminal misuse of their product.  The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals says in it's ruling that the surviving family of a postal worker killed by a self avowed racist may sue Glock firearms of North Carolina for damages though a lower court had held that the suit was without merit.  Not everyone is happy with the decision that many see as an attempt to re-invent the country's liability laws.  Erick Pratt, spokesman for Gun Owners of America said, "These suits have been very unsuccessful, but it's really not about winning the cases.  Even while gun manufacturers have won, there have been instances where the gun manufacturer has won and had to go bankrupt, which is exactly what the other side is shooting for."
