It would seem that as far as the establishment media is concerned the public has the right to only so much. The Associated Press had falsely reported that there were boos from the audience after President Bush offered former President Bill Clinton his best wishes for a speedy recovery from bypass surgery. The response from those present were immediate and highly critical of AP’s journalistic integrity. After being caught flat-footed the AP speedily retracted the story. However the media giant which provides news copy to outlets all over the country, is concealing the name of the reporter who lied about the story in the first place. The original story said that after Mr. Bush relayed his good wishes the, “Audience of thousands in West Allis, Wisconsin booed.” And “Bush did nothing to stop them” |
