State police in Connecticut harass pro-lifers By: John Russell | Source: IRN NEWS August 3, 2004 11:48PM EST
Connecticut state police have made it clear that some pro-life activists are not welcome in their state. A group of pro-life demonstrators returning from protests in Massachusetts were driving a truck on which were displayed the pictures of aborted pre-born children. The truck was pulled over by state police near the town of Norwalk. The police informed the activists that people had the right not to look at the admittedly disturbing photographs and ordered them to remove the pictures from their vehicle. When it was pointed out that it was not possible without tools the police ordered them to leave the state subjecting them to insults calling them “Jesus freaks”, “wing-nuts” and extremists. One of the protesters who attempted to video the incident was told by one of the officers that the “Lord was not with you” after being arrested.
