When the McCain-Feingold campaign finance law was being forced through the congress much of that effort was backed by the political left in order to block grassroots conservative groups from effecting federal elections. Well it seems the chickens have come home to roost. According to complaints filed with the Federal Elections commission controversial filmmaker Michael Moore may have to stop advertising his film “Fahrenheit 9-11” after July 30th. The law forbids corporately funded advertising identifying a federal candidate 30 days before a primary election or 60 days before a general election. There is also the fact that the film’s distributor Lion’s Gate Productions is a foreign company which is not allowed to influence national elections. - 'Sex-Change' Clinic Faces Inquiry, Lawsuit - Disney Says No To Moore Bush Bash Film - States Criticized for Lack of Sexual Orientation Laws - House Republican tries to undo ad restrictions in new campaign finance law - Hillary’s campaign finances under scrutiny - Another Lawsuit Seeks to Stop Same-Sex Marriage - Bush Campaign Tops Goal of Record $170 Million - Clinton to rescue Kerry campaign? - Homosexuals plan to attack public decency laws - Michael Moore film to be released June 25 - Federal program flies illegals home - New laws protect gun owners and shooting ranges in Florida - Teachers union to screen Moore film - French Flock to Michael Moore Film - Court: fence violates int'l law, must be dismantled - Berger's Disgrace Shakes Kerry's Campaign - Theaters wary of Michael Moore film - Moore’s 9-11 film a flop - Moore film distributor OK with terror support - Authorities won't enforce immigration laws - Anti-Gun Campaign Accused of Spreading 'Hype' - MoveOn.org Staffer Moving Over to Kerry Campaign - Kerry demands demands Bush campaign withdraw Hitler reference from ad
