President won’t endorse month celebrating homosexuality By: John Russell | Source: IRN NEWS June 15, 2004 2:55PM EST
In another sign that the so-called political clout of homosexuals is vastly overrated President Bush has declined to authorize a “Gay Pride Month” proclamation. Without a proclamation homosexuals can’t use tax monies and government facilities to hold events celebrating their lifestyle. There is word that homosexual activists are considering filing a lawsuit against the administration hoping to force taxpayer support of their activities. The administration’s actions come after the state of Virginia passed legislation defining marriage as traditionally understood by most Americans prompting a call by homosexuals to boycott the state. However no one in state government appears that concerned about the threat. - Methodists Condemn Homosexuality - He wants to be president - Kerry in 1971: 'Our Democracy is a Farce' - Kerry Boasted to Vietnam Crewmates: I'll Be President - Former President Reagan's Health Deteriorating - Former President Ronald Reagan Dies at 93 - Bush won’t tap oil reserves
