The group Black Americans for life and the National black Catholic Apostolate for life have joined together to draw attention to what they say is the disproportionate number of black children who are aborted in the United States. They note that though black Americans make up 13.7 % of the population 70 % of the nation’s abortion mills are located in the black community. Day Gardener of Black Americans for life says, “After all that we as Black Americans have endured and achieved, by the end of this day nearly 1200 babies will be killed by abortion. We have the highest abortion rate in the country. Black women should not be silent when it comes to this abomination.” - Kerry Shows Support for Abortion Rights - Kerry, Pressed, Says Medals/Ribbons Were the Same Thing - Legal groups offer churches aid - Pro-Life Activists Target Kerry's Stand on Abortion - Kerry Affirms Support for Abortion Rights - Pelosi meets with group tied to Hamas - It's Not the Weapon, It's the Criminal, Gun Group Says - Keyes likens abortion to terrorism - Kerry Met With Communists Illegally, Author Says - Daughter of Bush accuser says her father is lying - Cave Sheds Light on John the Baptist, Archeologist Says - Abortion drama wins top prize at Venice fest - Beware of the End of the World (Wide Web); Says Intel - Beware of Pork in Hurricane Relief Bill, Taxpayer Group Warns - Dems 'Finally Remember' Black Vote, Critic Says - 40-THOUSAND CHRISTIANS FLEE IRAQ, OFFICIAL SAYS - No Way We'll Pull Ad, Swift Boat Veteran Says - Marijuana rights group uniting behind Kerry - Mississippi abortionist loses license - MoveOn Ads OK; Swift Boat Ads Not OK, Kerry Campaign Says - Wal-Mart Says August Sales May Be Little Changed - Australia says no to homosexual “marriage” - Abortion Ship Sets Sail for Portugal - Kerry Didn't Go to Vietnam Seeking Medals, Says Supportive Vet - Partial Birth Abortion Ban Temporarily Overturned by Activist Judge - Greenspan Says U.S. Must Adjust Retirement Benefit Programs - Coca-Cola Says 2nd-Half Profit Will Miss Expectations - Kerry/Edwards: The Pro-Abortion ticket - Pro-Life Group Blasts Catholic Nuns for Donating to Pro-Abortion Political Group - NY Times: CBS News Says It Was Misled on Memos - Kerry's Views on Iraq, Vietnam 'Virtually Identical,' Critic Says - .S.
