Australia says no to homosexual “marriage”

Australian Prime Minister John Howard has announced that he will introduce legislation that will forbid the recognition of so-called same sex marriages or adoptions of children by homosexuals that occur outside of the country. A conservative member of Parliament, Guy Barnett he welcomes the move saying that marriage is not a fashion to be updated. The Prime minister says that it is up to the legislature and not the courts to decide what constitutes marriage. Even the country’s socialist leaning Labor Party is backing the move. Its spokes Nicola Roxon says, “The common law seems to make it clear that it is a marriage between a man and a woman.”
