A contingent of Navy veterans who served with presidential hopeful John Kerry have held a news conference in Washington to challenge Kerry’s fitness to serve as the country’s commander in chief. Speaking for the group retired Rear Admiral Roy Hoffmann says of Kerry, “He arrived in country with a strong anti-Vietnam War bias and a self serving determination to build a foundation for his political future. In a an abbreviated tour of four months twelve day sand with his specious medals secure Lt. J.G. Kerry bugged out of Vietnam and began his infamous betrayal of all United States forces in the Vietnam War.” Capt. Charley Plumly who served under Kerry had even stronger words. Says the former Naval officer, ”Kerry would be described as devious, self-absorbed, manipulative, in disdain of authority, disruptive but the most common phrase you would hear was ‘requires constant supervision.’”
