South

Thunderstorms are possible again today across much of the South, with an isolated severe storm or two possible from East Texas into western Alabama.

A few lingering showers and thunderstorms are possible near the Southeast Coast tomorrow as today's system heads off the coast.

Farther west, scattered thunderstorms will develop ahead of a developing system over the Southern Plains.

This system will bring some locally heavy rains to northern Arkansas and northern Tennessee as well as the potential for some severe storms over the Southern Plains and Lower Mississippi Valley on Thursday, and then some showers and thunderstorms across the Southeast on Friday.

An upper level disturbance behind this system will bring a chance of rain to the Southern Plains on Friday and the Southeast on Saturday.

Highs today will range form the 50s from the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles to northwestern Tennessee to the 90s in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas.

Highs tomorrow will range from the 50s in Oklahoma, Arkansas, western Virginia, and western North Carolina to the 80s in South Texas.

Northeast

A wet and windy day is on the way in the Northeast as a system currently in the Central U.S. moves through the region.

Rainfall amounts should remain relatively light, generally less than a quarter of an inch.

Rain may briefly mix with or change to snow in the interior tonight before coming to an end.

Some light snow is possible in Northern New England and northern New York State tomorrow.

The next chance of precipitation moves in Friday and Saturday as a system that develops in the Plains tomorrow approaches.

Highs today will range from the 40s in northern Maine to around 70 on the Delmarva Peninsula.

Highs tomorrow will range from around 30 in northern Maine to around 60 near Chesapeake Bay.

Midwest

Some lingering snows are expected this morning in the Upper Mississippi Valley, with snow lingering into the afternoon in northern Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Gusty winds are expected elsewhere near the Great Lakes, with some leftover showers moving up the Upper Ohio Valley ahead of the cold front moving through the region.

Tomorrow, a developing low in the Plains will bring a chance of rain and snow to the Plains.

This new system will bring a chance of heavy rain to the Ozarks and Mid-Mississippi and Ohio Valleys on Thursday and possibly some severe thunderstorms.

Rain will head towards the central Great Lakes and up the Ohio Valley on Friday, with most of the region remaining dry on Saturday.

A few showers are possible in the Mississippi Valley on Sunday.

Highs today will range from around 30 in eastern Upper Michigan to the 60s in eastern Kentucky and southeastern Ohio.

Highs tomorrow will range from the 30s in eastern Upper Michigan to around 60 in southwestern Kansas.

West

Except for some stray snow showers in the Rockies, the West should remain dry today.

An upper level trough moves ashore in California late tonight and tomorrow bringing a chance of rain throughout much of the state and into the Great Basin tomorrow.

Another upper level disturbance will head south from Canada and bring a chance of snow to the Rockies on Thursday.

Friday and Saturday should be dry expect for a few rain and snow showers in the Rockies on Saturday.

Highs today and tomorrow will range from the 20s in northwestern Wyoming to the 80s in the Lower Colorado Valley and southern New Mexico.
