(CNSNews.com) - Evangelist Pat Robertson plans to endorse Rudy Giuliani for president on Wednesday, and Sen. Sam Brownback, the social conservative who recently dropped out of the Republican race for president, reportedly plans to endorse Sen. John McCain later today. Brownback will make the announcement later today in Dubuque, Iowa, where he will join McCain on the campaign trail, the Associated Press reported. Brownback's support could signal to evangelical Christians that they can trust McCain and could help solidify McCain's credentials on social issues, the A.P. said. But that was before word leaked that Robertson would endorse Giuliani. Conservative leader Paul Weyrich recently endorsed Mitt Romney for president.
