Midwest Regional Video
Strong, cold winds will whip over the Midwest--especially the Great Lakes--tomorrow as a storm system spins northeastward from Lake Huron.
The storm will trigger rain and snow showers over the Lakes as far south as northern Indiana and northern Ohio.
Accumulating lake-effect snow, generally an inch or two, is expected over parts of northern and western Michigan with winter storm conditions lingering over the Upper Peninsula where snowfall will be heavier.
High temperatures will range from the wind-chilled 30s to the 50s, north to south. The day will dawn quite cold, by the way, with the mercury plunging to the teens over much the Dakotas, and into the 20s as far south as Kansas and Missouri.

Northeast Regional Video
A vigorous cold front piling through New England tomorrow will unleash some heavy showers, mainly on eastern New England where rainfall totals could reach an inch or so.
To the rear of the front, rain showers--mixed with snow near Lake Erie--will prevail from New York state south into West Virginia (where a little snow could mix in, too).
High temperatures will range from the blustery 30s in southwest New York state and northwest Pennsylvania to the 60s in southeast Virginia. |
South Regional Video
A cold front barging southward toward the Gulf of Mexico overnight may trigger a few showers or thunderstorms from the western Carolinas and Tennessee to eastern Texas, but during the day tomorrow, the activity will be much more limited. Only isolated showers or storms are expected to pop up in parts of southern Texas and southwest Louisiana.
Gusty northerly winds behind the front will lower temperatures significantly from today in most of the region. Highs are forecast to range from the 50s to the 80s, north to south, with the 80s confined to far south Texas and southern Florida. |
West Regional Video
Except for some cloudiness streaming in off the Pacific over Washington, the Idaho Panhandle and northern Montana tomorrow, the West will be sunny and dry.
Temperatures will be above seasonal averages from the Rockies west with highs ranging from the 40s in the northern Cascades, the northern Rockies and parts of eastern Montana to the 90s in far southeast California and southwest Arizona. California's Central Valley will bask in the 70s, Oregon's Willamette Valley, in the 60s. |
