Terror activity in the Northwest

The Pacific Northwest has seen a disturbing number of terrorism related investigations and arrests. The most recent case involves an Iranian born man who is accused of funneling money collected for charity to Islamic terrorists. Pirouz Sedaghaty is under investigation for suspicion of concealing funds collected for a Saudi based charity and then transferring them to international terrorist organizations. But this is only one of several investigations and arrests in the area. Recent cases include: the conviction of the so-called Portland seven who were attempting to go to Afghanistan to fight against American forces there; the arrest of national guardsman Ryan Anderson who is charged with attempting to pass military information to the Al-Qaeda terror network and the conviction of Ernest James Ujaama in Seattle who had planned to set up a terrorist training camp in Oregon.
