Congressman says mosques promote extremism

A New York congressman says that fully 85% of the Mosques in this country are headed by radicals that present a danger to the security of the Untied States. Rep. Peter T. King (R-N.Y.) also says that America’s Muslim population has not been forthcoming in providing information regarding terrorist activity. Though King’s statements have elicited near hysterical reactions from Muslim front groups, he stands by them. At least one American Islamic leader supports what King is saying. The chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of America said in testimony before a State Department committee that more than 80% of those in positions of authority in the nation’s mosques are radicals who are passing this extremism on to the next generation of American Muslims.
