A political science professor from the University of Massachusetts told those attending a meeting of the Berkshire County Republicans that President Bush will win the next election in a landslide. “It’s going to be a slam dunk.” Says Jeffrey L. Sedgwick associate Professor of Political Science at the university’s Amherst campus. In Sedgwick’s opinion, because of the Democratic Party’s disarray and failure to convince most Americans of their ability to deal with security issues coupled with an improving economy it is likely that the Republicans will pick up 15 to 20 seats in the congress with the real possibility of gaining enough seats in the senate to allow the President’s appointments to go through. - Pro-life laws reduce number of abortions, study says - Massachusetts High Court will not compromise on homosexual marriage - N-F-L in violation of anti-trust laws says judge - League to appeal - Stop the Medicare Ad Blitz, Taxpayer Group Says - Quiet Celebration for President Reagan's Birthday - John Edwards 'Increased the Cost of Medicine', Former Associate Says - Rep says US would have already bombed the Palestinians for terror attacks - Nasa says 'no' to Hubble reprieve - Congressman says mosques promote extremism - Kerry scandal rumors get global attention, rumors threaten presidential hopes - President Bush pays a visit to National Guard Troops - President Bush Backs Federal Marriage Amendment - Macedonian President Presumed Dead - Body of Macedonian President Recovered - Human Life Begins at Conception, SD Legislature Says - Gun Control Hasn't Helped Chicago, Group Says - U.S. Following `Mahathir Doctrine' on IMF: William Pesek Jr. - Border Patrol union calls President’s immigration plan a slap in the face - Liberal Talk Radio - Will it actually get off the ground? - Economy deferring adulthood, study says - J.P.
